Our passion for wood.We strive to treat wood, a natural and renewable material, with respect. As the link between the producers and the market, we do everything we can to preserve this valuable resource. That is why we give priority to producers that use timber from certified forests.
We try to keep transport routes as short as possible. We invest in the latest requirements of the truck fleets and use production waste to heat our premises. Whenever possible, we use timber in the construction of new buildings. During the construction of the new logistics centre in Niederbipp, the use of wood and timber products meant that we absorbed 1,266 tonnes of CO2 over several years, thus removing some of the burden on the atmosphere. The project was analysed and inspected by CO2-Bank Schweiz, and received its certificate at the inauguration ceremony on 28 April 2014. The buildings and warehouses in Leibstadt and Niederbipp hold an additional 911 tonnes of CO2.
The company believes in the importance of active cooperation with industry associations, universities, and other regional and international interest groups.
We showcase our passion for wood at the biggest centre of expertise for sustainability: the Umwelt Arena in Spreitenbach, Switzerland, a centre dedicated to the environment. In the nature and life zone, we show the sustainable and diverse use of wood in our lives.umweltarena.ch

Thanks to our information transfer and knowledge network over decades, we develop young people as experts in the timber industry, working with them to promote wood as a building material for the future. The WOOD Conference in Cape Town, South Africa, caters to a specialist audience from the areas of architecture, engineering, timber construction, cabinet making, planning and interior design, as well as schools, students, investors and the public. The organisers hope to inspire new ideas for working with wood to create sustainable, green and energy-efficient buildings.
