The Kuratle Group is supporting a project by Thomas Rohner to rebuild Ukraine with three sponsorships. The Kuratle Academy is contributing by sharing its knowledge. Anyone who knows potential participants now has the opportunity to draw their attention to the project. Even a link to the course on your company website is a help. The following report provides all the details about this ambitious project.
Under the leadership of Prof. Thomas Rohner of Bern University of Applied Sciences, Swiss universities and Swiss businesses are organising an educational course on the reconstruction of Ukraine: CAS Rebuild Ukraine.
Shortly after the outbreak of war in Ukraine, Professor Thomas Rohner began developing a course for Ukrainian women with S protection status. The CAS Rebuilding Ukraine course was created with the aim of helping people to help themselves and based on the conviction that education is the most sustainable investment.
The CAS Rebuilding Ukraine course is a practical further education programme aimed at female refugees from Ukraine who have a professional connection to the construction sector. The CAS is open to Ukrainian women who have been living in Switzerland for some time and to members of aid organisations who will be involved in the reconstruction. Students are given the tools to assess, help shape and manage the reconstruction of buildings and infrastructure in Ukraine.
Eine Patenschaft übernehmen
Companies in the Swiss timber, construction and real estate industries, associations, organisations and private individuals have the opportunity to enable refugee women to participate in the CAS Reconstruction Ukraine programme by covering their participation fees and expenses totalling CHF 8,000. By sponsoring a refugee woman, you are helping in three ways: you are supporting her professional development, giving her family new prospects, and helping the region where she is involved in a reconstruction project. Accompany the student during her training and beyond. Build a network of people, companies and organisations in Ukraine. Register your sponsorship directly on the website.
Content and methodology
The continuing education programme was developed in close collaboration with experts from business, science, research and government. Working on real-life case studies enables participants to directly apply the specialist knowledge they have acquired in their everyday work. The focus on projects that have already been implemented or are in the planning stage ensures a high degree of practical relevance. In order to learn the knowledge and skills in as comprehensive, multi-layered and varied a way as possible, various teaching methods are used in combination.
The CAS Rebuild Ukraine is a collaborative CAS, which means that the Swiss universities BFH, ETHZ, EPFL, HSLU, FHNW and OST are on board and contribute to the success of the CAS. In addition, commercial enterprises and other educational providers in Switzerland are also involved. The content of the CAS Rebuild Ukraine covers four main topics:
- Digital skills
- Engineering building construction
- Engineering infrastructure construction
- Cross-cutting issues (corruption prevention, sustainability, circular economy)
- The language of instruction is English.
Please help us find as many female students as possible to attend the course and spread the word about this CAS through all channels.
Please help!
Please let us know if you are interested in sponsoring a student. Small donations are also very welcome.
