Logistics is a core competence of Meier Logistik, a Kuratle Group company. Our warehouses are managed by logistics specialists. The EBA and EFZ logistics technician apprenticeships offer an ideal introduction to the profession. Eight apprentices are currently being trained by vocational trainers and experienced employees at the various Meier Logistik sites.
Logisticians unload lorries, receive goods, check them and book incoming goods using a computer. With the help of industrial trucks or complex conveyor systems, they store the goods in suitable storage locations.
Job description as an EFZ commercial apprentice
As an EFZ commercial apprentice, you will carry out administrative work in 5 different departments. (Purchasing, Marketing, Accounting, Sales and HR) Your tasks will vary depending on your area of work. You can deal with business correspondence, personnel administration, bookkeeping (recording bookings, checking payments), orders (receipt, invoicing), customer reception and secretarial work.

Polygraphers design and edit images, graphics and texts for use in print and electronic media. Woodworkers EBA process the raw material wood into finished products and components. Woodworkers specialising in industry work in planing mills, joinery plants or sawmills, for example. With the help of large machines, they process raw beams, for example, into ready-cut timber components, which are then delivered and assembled directly. They pack the timber products according to the order, store them and transport them professionally.
