New Group Strategy 2028 – United for Excellence

21.08.2026

With its Strategy 2028, ‘United for Excellence’, the Kuratle Group is establishing a shared framework for the coming years. At its heart are five strategic focus areas, through which we aim to support our customers even more effectively and secure the long-term sustainability of our group of companies. At Excellence Day, this strategy was not only communicated but actively experienced: challenging team tasks called for action, commitment and teamwork. Managers had to work together to find solutions, overcome obstacles and communicate effectively. In this way, the focus areas and the interplay within the ecosystem became directly tangible.

At the heart of our Strategy 2028—United for Excellence—are the five focus areas.

A clear direction for the coming years

Strategy 2028 provides us with a shared direction and helps us to consistently align our decisions with our long-term goals. It was developed through a multi-stage strategic process comprising various phases of analysis, development and consultation. Together, we have analysed our market environment, trends and the opportunities and challenges facing our group of companies, and have derived our strategic priorities for the coming years from this analysis.

Under the guiding principle ‘United for Excellence’, we aim to further strengthen collaboration, make even better use of synergies within our group of companies and consistently place our customers’ needs at the centre of everything we do.

The focus is on five key areas: customer focus, digital and technological transformation, ecosystem, sustainability, and performance & efficiency. Through a consistent customer focus, we aim to understand our customers’ needs even better and offer them greater added value. Digital and technological transformation is intended to help us simplify processes and further enhance our performance. The ‘Ecosystem’ area of focus centres on greater networking and collaboration within the group of companies and with partners. We view sustainability as a responsibility towards the environment, society and future generations. Finally, Performance & Efficiency are intended to help us utilise our resources in a targeted manner and secure our long-term competitiveness. Together, these focus areas form the framework through which we aim to support our customers even better, strengthen our collaboration and ensure the long-term viability of our group of companies.

From strategy to day-to-day practice

For us, excellence does not mean perfection. Excellence means taking responsibility, working together reliably and looking for ways every day to further improve our performance. Whether in sales, procurement, logistics, production or administration: everyone plays their part in ensuring that we can support our customers competently, reliably and sustainably.

That is precisely why people are at the heart of our strategy. After all, sustainable success does not come about through concepts alone, but through employees and managers who take responsibility, embrace change and work together towards a successful future.

Excellence Days as a shared starting point

To embed Strategy 2028 within our Group, we are holding a total of three Excellence Days this autumn. These create space for exchange, reflection and shared learning, and bring all our managers together.

The first of these was the Excellence Day on 19 August 2026. During the event, management and our senior staff engaged in an in-depth discussion of the strategy’s key elements. The focus was on the five key areas, the guiding principle ‘United for Excellence’, and the question of what concrete contribution each manager can make to its successful implementation.

Working together towards excellence.
The first Excellence Day was a resounding success.

The event was deliberately designed to be experience-based. Rather than merely discussing the strategy in theoretical terms, the participants were right at the heart of the action: on the training ground, the focus was on action, commitment and genuine teamwork. Through challenging tasks, they had to find solutions together, overcome obstacles, take responsibility and communicate clearly with one another. This allowed them to experience the five focus areas and the interplay within the ecosystem first-hand. In the run-up to the event, they had already discussed, in pairs, their expectations of the strategy and their contribution to successful collaboration.

The event on 19 August was the first of two Excellence Days for German-speaking Switzerland. Another session will take place on 14 September 2026. A French-language session for our Leuba Hiag management team will be held on 28 September 2026. In this way, we ensure that the strategy is communicated with broad support and actively embedded in the organisation by our managers.

Shaping our future together

Our Strategy 2028 will set the direction for us. However, what will be crucial is how we bring this direction to life together.

The Kuratle Group’s true strength does not lie in its sites, products or processes. It lies in the people who take responsibility every day, share their knowledge, tackle challenges and develop solutions together.

What became clear on Excellence Day also applies to our day-to-day work: we make progress when we rely on one another, take responsibility and act together. We look forward to embarking on this journey together with our staff.
